Standardized Shipping Protocols

Transport Cages and Packing Density

We strictly adhere to standardized packaging and shipping procedures to ensure the safety of every laboratory animal from dispatch to final sign-off. We utilize dedicated plastic crates designed specifically for experimental mice and rats. Typically made of Polypropylene (PP), these crates are impact-resistant and chew-proof, safeguarding animal health and safety during transit.

Advantages & Details

  • High Sterilization Tolerance: Classified as “autoclavable plastic products,” these crates can withstand repeated high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization for multi-cycle reuse.

  • Functional Design: They feature transparent observation windows and polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) non-woven fabric filters in the ventilation ports to ensure adequate airflow while preventing external contamination. The interiors can be customized with removable dividers to separate animals by sex or strain.

  • Scientifically Validated Loading Limits: Based on rigorous validation data, we set strict upper limits on the number and weight of animals per box to safeguard animal welfare.

Standardized Shipping Specifications

When ordering animals, unless specifically requested otherwise, age (in weeks) is the primary selection criterion, and shipments are based on the corresponding weight range for that age. Our strain documentation provides reference growth curves (age/weight) for the vast majority of our animal models; for targeted mutant mice, you may refer to the growth curve of their background strain.

Standardized Full-Process Compliance Control and Efficient Customs Clearance

With years of experience in international laboratory animal transportation, we are well-versed in the quarantine policies and import/export procedures of countries worldwide. We have established a “pre-compliance inspection + full-process tracking” customs clearance service to address the core pain points of cross-border transportation.

  • Pre-compliance Inspection: We verify the laboratory animal import licenses and quarantine standards of the destination country/region in advance. We assist customers in preparing a comprehensive set of compliant documents (including animal health certificates, strain certificates, and sterilization reports) to prevent customs clearance delays caused by documentation discrepancies.

  • Efficient Customs Clearance: Through long-term partnerships with quarantine departments and customs brokerage agencies, we utilize dedicated clearance channels for laboratory animals. Priority inspection and rapid release significantly shorten the customs clearance cycle, ensuring that animals arrive safely and on time.
