2002 :

Co-founded the Model Animal Research Center (MARC) and National Resource Center for Mutant Mice (NRCMM).

2017 :

Established GemPharmatech Co., Ltd. with headquarters in Nanjing, China.

2018 :

Established Guangdong, Chengdu, and Changzhou subsidiaries.
Initiated the Knockout All Project (KOAP) to create KO/cKO mice for all protein coding regions in the mouse genome.

2019 :

Secured Series A Funding (160 million RMB).
Launched the humanized mouse strain project and the NCG-derived strain platform.
Achieved AAALAC International accreditation.

2020 :

Established US (GemPharmatech LLC) and Beijing subsidiaries.
Secured Series B Funding (400 million RMB).
Obtained the SPF-grade Laboratory Animal Production License.

2021 :

Established Shanghai subsidiary.
Launched the Drug Screening Mouse Program (DSMP).
Achieved ISO 9001 QMS certification.

2022 :

Listed on the Shaghai Stock Exchange STAR Market (Stock Code: 688046).
Expanded business coverage to 20+ countries.
Launched “The Wild Mouse Project"

2023 :

Established production bases in Beijing and Shanghai.
Received US OLAW assurance.

2024 :

Opened Guangdong Industrial Park.
Founded NeoMab® Biotechnology (Suzhou).

2025 :

Opened first overseas operation site in San Diego, CA.

Located in the heart of San Diego’s Sorrento Valley biotech hub, this 13,000 sq. ft. facility features a high-spec vivarium, wet laboratory space, ABSL-1 and ABSL-2 capabilities, and capacity for more than 4,000 cages, supporting custom breeding, preclinical efficacy studies, and humanized model services. This site provides access to more than 25,000 mouse models, including genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs), immunodeficient mice, next-generation NCG variants, and humanized mouse models.

North American Headquarters

As the company headquarters, the facility spans 9,568 m², including 5,657 m² of SPF barrier space and a cage capacity exceeding 73,000. It holds SPF-grade and germ-free-grade Laboratory Animal Production and Use Licenses, operates under AAALAC standards, and has obtained OLAW, ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 certifications.
