Drug efficacy on Cerebral ischemic stroke model
Introduction：Stroke is one of the most common causes of death worldwide and also responsible for permanent disability. Ischemic stroke has been found to affect 80% of stroke patients. The transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model of stroke is one of the most commonly used models to study focal cerebral ischemia.
Strain： C57BL/6J mouse
Group Size：5-10 mice per group，3-6 groups
Grouping：Negative control, Vehicle control, Positive drug control，Test drug (low , middle and high dose level).
Period: 8 weeks
Inspection Items: The score of test in the neurological function, pathological tests (immunohistochemistry, special staining, etc.), protein immunization, qRT-PCR, etc.
MCAO was reperfused for 24 hours at different times. The fresh brain tissue was acuted isolated by TTC staining , then the normal active tissue in red and infarcted tissue in white.
Cerebral infarction area was measured by TTC after the 24h of ischemia-reperfusion.
